Guerrilla marketing is unconventional, surprising, imaginative, creative, humorous, present, modern – and above all cheap. When guerrilla marketing is done well, it gets extra attention and publicity, both on the street and on social media. For example, it could be an insurance company that hire professional pickpockets to put brochures in people’s bags and pockets. Bike saddle cover with photo of razor blades, to draw attention to female circumcisions (for UNFPA). But guerrilla marketing is of course not for everyone. Mærsk and SAXO bank should rather stick to traditional channels.
